Thoughts on Lyrics

This song was written completely by Hins Cheung/張敬軒 himself, from lyrics to melody to arrangement. It was obviously dedicated to his parents. The message for his parents was that he would find his own way in life, and he would be strong and pay no attention to the skeptics no matter what they (the skeptics) say. He also advised them to let him fall and get back up on his own. In overall, the lyrics were straightforward, but that is just how we should be with our loved ones. Straightforward.

Thoughts on Melody

The arrangement was very relaxing, and easy to follow along. The bicycle bells and classroom noises in the middle of the song were a nice touch. Listeners will most likely reminisce about their childhood and think about their parents.
